Customs agents discovered “what looked like” human remains in a person’s bag at Tampa International Airport, according to a social media post the agency made Thursday.
Agriculture specialists with U.S. Customs and Border Protection uncovered “prohibited plants, undeclared cigars and a foil-wrapped duffel bag” containing what appeared to be human bones and part of a skull.
The traveler told agents the items were used “for rituals,” wrote Tampa-Miami field director Carlos C. Martel in a post on X.
