    Those who the law protects but doesn’t necessarily bind, and those who the law binds but doesn’t necessarily protect.

    These are two consecutive headlines in WaPo today.

      The rhetorical cases:

      1. Homan accepted an unlawful bribe
      2. Trump demanded prosecution of all his enemies regardless of whether they've committed a crime.

      The actual cases:

      1. There's a leak of a Biden-era investigation (from the same DOJ that is leak-proof regarding all the damaging information in the Epstein files) into Homan, where he allegedly accepted cash payment for a service his above-board business provides. It is entirely unclear whether he broke any laws in doing so, and the Biden administration sat on whatever evidence they had for four months.
      2. Trump wrote a social media post pushing Bondi to get on with the prosecutions of his enemies, and later clarified that if there was no criminal behavior, then so be it.

      Education is extremely important.
