No, not that kind of nookie, Nokie Edwards.
Edwards was one of the original bass players for The Ventures ("Walk Don't Run"), having joined them in 1960. Eventually he became lead guitar. In Japan, he was known as "The King of Guitars."
But, here's the interesting part: He had a small role in Deadwood (I loved Deadwood), playing Wild Bill Hickok's friend.
