Remember the first guy taken into custody? His name is George Zinn, a 71 year old political activist. Apparently, he laid down on the ground immediately after the shooting, putting his hands into the air, and started screaming “Shoot me! Shoot me! I am the shooter”. He stated that he pretended to be the shooter to cause a distraction for the real shooter to escape.
He was released from police custody to a hospital, but while at the hospital they checked his phone as a matter of form, and found child porn on it.
