Lufin, I watched the very last minutes of the Jets-Steelers. How was the game? My only criticism at this point is they let the hapless Jets score 32 points.

And in the glorious Bills victory over the Ravens, history was made:

the Ravens set a new NFL record by becoming the first team to score at least 40 points and establish at least 235 rushing yards in a loss. Teams that had put up such numbers had previously won 277 consecutive games.

Oh man. I had fallen asleep getting Finley down. I woke up and turned the game on with Baltimore up 40-25 and Buffalo driving with 6 minutes left. Figured “what the hell, may as well watch.” And glad I did.

Refs will miss calls. It happens. But, now that it’s out there they need to follow up with a fine or a suspension.

Wait, it was penalized for unnecessary roughness. The dude wasn’t ejected because it was an openhanded slap.

That's a no call as far as I'm concerned. He should have been out.

I don’t disagree, but in this case they actually have it laid out in writing in the rule book. If he had punched with a closed fist? Ejection. Spit? Ejection. Open handed slap? 15 yard penalty. With so many discretionary rules, I’m kind of surprised that this is so clear cut.
