I wear ties quite often and own quite a few. I use the four in hand knot mostly. Also, I've recently taken to buying ties from various museums. They have have reasonable pricing and interesting selections.

I just got this at the Getty Museum:

and these at the Met in NYC:

My dad taught me a full Windsor (I was wearing ties at 16 as a Kinney shoe salesman) but by early 20s I was tying a four-in-hand and never looked back. I couldn’t even tie a Windsor today without some internet guide.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Very rarely wear a tie these days, only for wedding/funeral/graduation events; but (@Tom-K) I'd buy that last orange tie with the ovals just because.

A lifetime of ties, nearly all silk, because it knots neatly. Some jokes from my kids, my favourite gold with red teardrops Hugo Boss@Harrods, soon to be worn at a daughters wedding

ANDY! Great collection! As a fellow "man of wealth and taste" (a Rolling Stones reference-not to be taken literally,) I am in awe of your ties. Brilliant! (as you Britishers might say.) You and I are of a kindred spirit. I enlarged your ties and am looking them over. Wonderful. Great, great post. Thank you. I'll get my collection together and post in a bit. (For the discerning aficionados--not the unwashed, dirty necked, open collared masses that slither and lurk hereabouts!)

The teardrop is spectacular. Also the "orange tie with ovals" tie I posted is from a Gustav Klimt picture. I also have something identical in teal.

              😄 Looking forward to it.
I found storing them tricky until someone bought me a ladies scarf hanger with multiple holes. Using that they all hang out together within a suit bag.

It's really nice to occasionally dress up, go the whole 9 yards with cufflinks etc.

I’ve always had a tie hanger.

With wedding looming and unable to fit into any of my suits, I took 'The Tie' above into Hugo Boss Regent Street, told them it was bought in 1992 at Harrods... caused some interest.

Then bought an appropriate wedding-at-a-zoo-suit, which also goes with the tie

Now the question is, will I look as cool 😎 as the man himself?

I rather miss suits and ties.

I appreciate the chance to wear them 15-20 days a year.

I have a bunch of Talbot ties and Allen Edmonds shoes I’ll probably never wear again.

Those Allen Edmonds shoes appear really nice.
I have a couple pairs of similar quality uk-handmade Church's. Both brogues, one light tan the other dark brown suede.
Ten years and they're just about worn in 🤣
This year they came out of the wardrobe and are by the front door to wear when I feel like it. Life's too short.
