QED you found your difference.
Some leaks are worth decades in prison, others aren’t.
Your coyness would be more compelling if you established there was a there there beyond the posturing every once in a while. Exactly one of us is afraid to have actual good faith conversations, and it’s not me.
-
You’ve been constitutionally unable to have to have a good faith conversation with me since about 2017. The change did not go unnoticed nor unremarked upon by members here. If you didn’t notice the change, or have since buried it, you are the only one.
-
Great now is your chance, explain your analogy and how it proves what you think it proves. You won’t. Because you can’t.
A lot of people have left this place because you have a sadistic streak a mile wide. Duly noted that you like to posture that so many people have told you in private their thoughts about me. I know you love to play that card, as mean girls do. Yes my opinion of you has drastically changed since I’ve understood you as fundamentally a con man, though a relatively pro social one.

Not to brag, but I I like to think they left because of how stupid I am.

Not at all. That’s why they started posting here. You made them feel smart.
Sorry, I don't understand.
-
(And for those of you keeping score at home, a Trump voter just called me a con man. I think I might just survive this.)

You’ve definitely survived worse. I don’t expect your psychological armor to be dented.

Odd that you came to the realization after a dozen years here and it coincided with the day your ego was damaged.

Yes please posture that you have an insight into something, while not being able to substantiate the insight. Yes do that for the 1000th time and fifth time today.

That doesn’t really capture it. What struck so many of them was how suddenly and fiercely you turned on me. It seemed to them out of the blue. So when they reached out it was typically asking me WTF happened.
So I had to explain that you finally realized I was a con man and that made you really really angry. Then they understood.

Wow what a great opportunity for you to frame the narrative. I’m sure what you told them, to whatever extent they actually exist, tracks with objective reality and steel manned my perspective. Good thing each one of our interactions are right here for anybody with a triple digit IQ to attempt to follow. For my part I’m comfy with that.

Why does nobody ever PM me about other posters?
Well OK, I've had a running PM dialogue with Aqua's Sister for years, but that doesn't really count.
-
@jon-nyc said in What are you listening to - Podcast Edition?:
Check your PMs.
That was very unkind. I'm pretty sure John D'Oh can't even get an erection, never mind shag one of those things.

Thought this conversation between two relatively decent Trump haters was good. I now officially respect Ezra Klein more than I do Sam Harris. Didn't see that coming, 10 years ago. I guess Ezra has changed more than Sam has.
This conversation focuses on the political work ahead for the Democrats given the reality that they have to live with Trump voters, one way or another. They hover around what is to me the greatest hurdle - the masses care about politics not centrally to make the world a better place, but simply to give their lives meaning. That meaning can easily come from smug superiority, and/or banal hatred. Money stat from the conversation: 11% of Trump voters would think it appropriate to sever ties with family over politics, while 44% of Harris voters would.
The Dems have a lot of work to do. These two are willing to do the work (Ezra more than Tim, who is way more histrionic and tribal in any other conversation, but here mirrors Ezra's attitude). The masses of Dems aren't really willing to do the work, because the work would sever their ties to politics. They are in it for the hatred and the smug superiority, and as soon as that fun is gone, so too is their interest in participating.

Here's a more mainstream leftist podcast today. Bombshell conspiracy that the guy who allegedly shot Kirk was framed. I didn't watch the video, but I got the point from the title and the comments. Oh boy. This is a mainstream pundit, like the left's Ben Shapiro.
BOMBSHELL VIDEO CLAIMS CHARLIE KIRK SHOT FROM BEHIND, NOT BY ROBINSON
