If Michelle Obama told you to suck her dick you'd do it.

Dear @Larry, I notice that you have been exhibiting certain affinity to post about dick sucking. Is that something that frequently surfaces in your psyche and occupies your thoughts? Know that, should you decide to come out, many of us will be here to provide you with spiritual and moral support. Take care.

I've never been so proud, as when Michelle was proud, to be proud of being proud of the first time she was proud.

The democrats showed proof positive on the first day of their convention that they have no plan, and will say anything for a vote.

John Kasick, still butt hurt from losing the nomination to Trump 4 years ago, was there to give the impression that some Republicans were going to vote for Biden. To appeal to Republicans and independents, Kasick's message was that Biden is a moderate, and would govern as a moderate. This fit with the entire DNC message that both Biden and Harris are moderates and we shouldn't be worried that the will govern as leftists.

Then just a few minutes later comes Bernie Sanders to tell you the exact opposite - his Socialist movement had won, and Biden and Harris as well as the democrat party as a whole had adopted their full agenda. AOC finishes driving that stake through the democrat party's heart, all without even mentioning Biden.

All while the nomination of Harris as VP pick caused the non white poll numbers to plummet by 21 points, and Trumps poll numbers to jump up 10 points almost overnight.

The democrats' only message - Orange man bad. They have no principles, no plan, and no ethics. We are watching the beginning of the end for the democrat party. It is actually sad to see how far they have fallen.

        No, no it's not.... BWWWAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

jon said Michelle "killed it" in her speech. Here's a link to it, I'm going to guess which parts jon found most moving:

"Each of the 300+ million lives in this country has meaning and worth". She said that right at the start. I submit that that sentence could not have been said aloud by a white speaker.

I finished the speech. Lots of race baiting and complaining about how the country is totally unacceptable because of the other political side. Good thing she loves the country though.

Still waiting for the revelation that Trump is the divisive one to wash over me. I'm not expecting a miracle though. I fear that the precondition to understanding that, is a visceral hatred of Trump.

As for which parts jon found most moving, there wasn't anything interesting. Just "Trump isn't fit for this job" stuff that permeated the speech.

I am curious jon, since you find Trump to be an extraordinary divider as a politician and rhetorician, which parts of the rhetoric employed by Mrs Obama seemed comparatively unifying to you?

Lots of competent preaching to the choir. Does that preaching process earn votes?

I always imagine what more self-reflective speeches might accomplish, to persuade non-choir members. Maybe gentle reflections on what one's own political side can do better. But I fantasize unduly.

Chris Wallace is a democrat, and dislikes Trump. I've never cared for his opinions. He can always be counted on to kiss an Obama's ass. Michelle Obama's goal wasn't to help Biden, it was to get even with Trump for undoing some of the damage her sorry assed husband did when he was in office. It was a revenge speech.

Now let's look at some facts: the Obamas refused to endorse Biden until just recently. At the same time Barack Obama was finally delivering his weak endorsement, it was leaked that privately he thought Biden wasnt fit to be president. It was also revealed that for the entire 8 years Obama was president, the Obamas never socialized with the Biden's, didn't really like them. Michelle didn't even care enough about Biden to deliver her speech live. To get her to say anything at all they had to go to her at her convenience and record it, which she recorded before Harris had even been picked for VP.

Chris Wallace also gushed over Michelle's famous "for the first time in my life I am proud of my country" speech. So it doesn't matter that out of the long list of clowns the DNC chose to speak Michelle Obama was the only one capable of giving a speech, she can't escape the fact that neither her nor her husband like Biden, neither of them think he is fit to be president, and the only reason they showed up right at the last minute to "endorse" him is because they have to support the democrat party. Once this week is over you'll not see Michelle helping Biden again.

"It was a heck of a contribution,” Wallace said. “She really flayed, sliced and diced Donald Trump, talking about the chaos and confusion and lack of empathy, especially coming from this president and this White House, spoke more about the deficits of Donald Trump than the pluses of Joe Biden, but did talk about especially, not so much policies, but especially his empathy and what he has been through and his care for average Americans.”

It is simply and factually inaccurate to say that the left has empathy for average Americans. They reserve their empathy for the disenfranchised, who are factually not average until the numbers say otherwise. The average folk are vilified by the left, not empathized with. For an average person, the only way to get in good with the left is to self-flagellate about how you could never possibly understand what it is to be oppressed, so please sir may I have another beating. Those sorts of self-hating ideas are central to the messaging of the left, and lots of normal people believe them and propagate them.

More of a general question, not specific to above or for just @Larry

But, does anyone really base their vote on if someone endorses President Trump or endorses Vice President Biden?

I have often wondered when some semi- famous person says that they are endorsing Candidate X. It certainly does not make me all more excited. LOL

Like Larry said, President Obama did not endorse VP Biden until the last minute when he was the only one. Senator Cruz was against President Trump, but then he was for him.

I dont get it, but maybe some people, it has some influence.

One can easily imagine a celebrity with a large following of young people having an effect on those followers in both who they vote for and whether they vote.

The difference is Cruz was running against Trump. Obama was not running against anyone, much less Biden.

Senator Sanders while running against VP Biden
                                        "VP Biden is the worst."

Senator Sanders after loosing nomination to VP Biden
                                        "VP Biden is the best"

In Senator Sanders mind, did VP Biden improve dramatically over a couple of months? LOL I dont think so.

If we believe him then, why should be believe him now?

Same with Senator Cruz and President Trump.

If we believed all the stuff he said about President Trump then, why should be believe him now?

In primate cultures, the lower rungs of the hierarchy imitate the higher rungs. Especially to young people, celebrity heroes are the quintessential upper rung. The cool-makers. The left is devoted to attempts to make its politics cool. I think the right has sort of given up on that angle and trusted the ravages and wisdom of age to do its work on enough human minds.

                                          Education is extremely important.
