Law firms that caved to Trump’s blatantly illegal threats are losing clients. Including many with executives who voted for Trump. Some big names mentioned like Oracle, Morgan Stanley, MSFT, Citadel.

Meh. Attorneys by and large make a living by avoiding fights. They certainly serve their clients better when that is their focus.

This speaks to American's view on the rule of law and the lawyer's role in society.

One can easily imagine a different society where businesses favor law firms that have good relationships with the government as they expect the lawyers to help grease the bureaucratic wheels with various things, like getting government permits and favored protections from competition and torts.
