Reminds me of a joke a friend of mine told me when I turned 40.

When someone in their 30s dies, people say ‘wow, what a tragedy’.

When someone in their 40s dies, people say ‘wow, that really makes you think’.

Having read the obit article above, my impression is that he had and used the gift of gab effectively.
