With all this time on my hands I'm thinking about getting out my French easel and paints and start painting again. I was doing so 20 years ago, taking lessons at the Art Academy, but with work and young daughter I found it too time consuming to set up, paint and then clean up. So I took up piano instead.
But now I have plenty of time and getting the yen. Any other painters out there?

I can't even paint walls very well.
My maternal grandfather was a very good painter - we have a number of his watercolours, and there are a ton of them at my mum's. My paternal great-grandfather was a professional portrait painter. Not one iota rubbed off on me, I've always been very envious of people who can paint.
So much for heredity.

And that, Ax, is why you shall never be one.
Ooops. Our smilies are all gone.

Dude, get Procreate on your iPad. No mess, and you can try all kinds of stuff.
Adobe Fresco's great, too.

I started Bob Rossing it around March, but stopped when I realized my other daughter was not going back to school.

I have always loved Impressionism and have found a few online classes to show you how.
Aqua, I am much too old school for that. Autotune painting.

It isn't, man! Will Terry and Jake Parker both use digital tools, and they're old school guys. You'd never know it from their prints, either.
