...and another thirty years since Hitler allegedly topped himself.
How soon we forget. Does anybody remember Hitler?
@Doctor-Phibes Just after the murder attempt on Hitler my dad was on guard at perimeter I of the Wofsschanze. He nearly shot down Himmler who didn't know the new parole for entering the premises. In the end Himmler was allowed to enter. Shortly after my dad saw Hitler leaving for Berlin. He looked fragile, nervous and was slightly trembling.
I guess my dad told this story a thousand times, so yes: I do remember both Hitler and Himmler. I still blame my dad for not gunning down both. -
