FFS, of course he’s going to have lower popularity. First of all, he’s far more public facing than any VP that I remember. Kamala’s job the first 3 years was to drink wine and play solitaire. Occasionally read a statement they put in front of her. Pence worked far more in the background except for COVID. Uncle Joe was kept at arms length by Obama and just brought in when they needed to put on a jovial face. Vance is Trump’s attack dog and he’s embracing it…
But the democrats are absolutely going to hate him, and half of the republicans are not going to like his isolationist and protectionist policies.

If you're essentially Trump minus the charisma and cult following, then you're going to be pretty unpopular.

Lufins - dead on. Vance's role is very different than Kamala, Pence or especially Biden. Having a unpopular VP sometimes helps the President's popularity.

I’m too lazy to google who “Harris” is, but he must not be very memorable or famous. Vance, on the other hand, has made a good impression as vice president.
