The key difference between Denmark's center-left and the center-left in the U.S. and much of Europe is that Danish progressives listened to working-class voters on immigration -- and reduced immigration levels.

So we can thank the uncompromising self-righteousness of the western left for the corner it's painted itself into. Yes, you don't have to look too hard to find leftists proudly saying that they're content to die on the right side of history, rather than win political games in the near term. So, I say, let them die on the side of their delusional version of what history will actually be. Win/win.
