Based on the election last fall I think this would be a very popular change.

This type of change usually doesn't apply to those currently in office, but not this one.

Why the limit after 2 consecutive terms? To stop Mr. Obama from getting another chance, well done.

I am very happy to limit Trump to two terms.

          https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/02/20/trump-third-term-king-unconstitutional/

Trump again raises idea of running for an unconstitutional third term

The suggestion followed a stretch of days in which Trump referred to himself as a king and quoted a dictator in suggesting that he was immune from following laws

As a psychological exercise it would be quite interesting to see how many people would support this.

As a follow-up experiment, I'd suggest a second amendment whereby the formal term for addressing any President sitting for a third term was changed from 'Mr. President' to 'Your Highness', just to see how many people would buy into that one.

I propose repealing the law of gravity but only in a 20sq meter space in Florida so we can launch rockets cheaper.

I'd sooner vote for that one.

Yea, two and done works or therwise you get us an el presidente-for-life and there is nothing good about that. Also, I look at Trump as a placeholder for Vance. It would be nice to have an intelligent person for a change. It's been a long, long time.

A truly intelligent person wouldn't want the job.

This. Also true of pretty much any politician office.

Not so. There are a lot of very, very smart people in government. Our new Congressman, Greg Landsman, is very intelligent. Very moderate as well. While he was not who I voted for, he's doing a good job. I heard an interview with him yesterday. He's damn near a blue dog.
