A Canadian brewery that is not familiar with Maiori idioms. Unforgivable!

“We acknowledge that we did not consider the commonplace use of the term huruhuru as a reference to pubic hair, and that consultation with a Maori representative would have been a better reference than online dictionaries," Mike Patriquin told Canadian network CBC.

Is that sarcasm that they should have checked with a Maori representative? I hope so because checking in with a person from every country and getting their okay could take a while.

Wonder how many Maori are in that region of Canada?

          New Zealand‎: ‎775,836 (2018 census)
          Canada‎: ‎2,500 (2016)
          Australia‎: ‎142,107‎ (2016 census)
          Other regions‎: ‎approx. 8,000

2,500. In other words, next to none. They thought the word meant 'feather'. I'd tell the offended to pound sand.

And all of them live in one city?

Damn! I was under the impression that the beer contained a pubic hair, and bought 20 cases. Now I find that money was wasted.

Foodie means vagina in my language.

I still remember my dad losing it with laughter when one of my friends claimed he was a “foodie”.
