Blatant cultural self-hatred force-fed to mushy young skulls, to lay groundwork for generations of indoctrinated anti-capitalists? Yeah I wouldn't mind a reckoning.
Trump gets a lot of flak for ushering in a post-truth political era, but I would think that a post-truth academic era would be a more concerning shift. And that came from the left, and it was not the product of one person. It was the product of the mainstream culture.

I want inner city kids, particularly minorities, to be inspired by American history. Sure we can point out some warts (we fought a great muther'in war over a few), but we are also a nation that's built on the premise that a young man can change his stars. The 1619 Project raises these children in a universe of victimhood from which they will never escape.
