It's approved for acute (like post-surgical) pain. I wonder how long it'll be before it's approved for chronic pain.

The neat thing about it is that It's very targeted. Opiates are so non-specific - there's the respiratory depression, the pain relief, the nausea, the euphoria.
For years, work has been directed at an opiate that is specific for analgesia without interacting the other receptors. People have come close, but never been successful.
