If the LOTR characters did commentary on the movie
-
And if the movies were documentaries, and Tolkien was a journalist. I've been falling asleep to this for the past couple nights. Probably not to everybody's taste, but I think it's brilliant. A comedian/impressionist puts this together with deep fake AI for the visuals. He's got lots of videos about LOTR and Star Wars. I've only watched this one. The writing is excellent.

Well, there goes my weekend. I'll also have to pass it on to Mrs. Phibes, who plays an inordinate amount of LOTRO, and has the kind of online friends you'd expect on that basis. Some of them may take great exception to this video, which will be even better.

....I just forwarded the link to her by email, and due to auto-complete came horrifyingly close to sending it to a customer who shares her first name.

Never have read or seen the Lord of the RIngs. If I wanted to, best to start with the books?
(I am guessing yes, as usually books are better)

Hell, yes. The book is wonderful. It's actually worth reading The Hobbit first, although it's really a children's story it's a great short read and a prequel. Just don't bother with any of the stuff published after his death.

Hate it when that happens. Glad you caught it in time.
