Seriously, Tim Kaine actually tried it…

“If a candidate was credibly accused of physical abuse, would that disqualify them?”

Hegseth’s answer was probably better than mine, I think I would have blown up on him, which is exactly what he was trying to provoke…

"And if you did physically abuse them, did you advise them to 'Put some ice on that'?"

"Now look here, you Baltic gas passer... " - Mik, 6/14/08

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

@LuFins-Dad said in Are You Smarter Than a Cabinet Nominee? Round 2 - Are You Still Beating Your Wife?:

        Tim Kaine

Shall we talk about Tim Kaine's nephews?

(strictly rumor at the moment, of course)

Senator, thank you for the question.

The seriousness of any credible accusation, particularly one involving physical abuse, demands careful and thorough consideration. Such allegations must be evaluated in the context of their credibility, the evidence supporting them, and the principles of due process.

While everyone is entitled to a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, credible accusations of physical abuse raise significant concerns about a candidate's judgment, character, and ability to lead effectively. These qualities are critical for those who hold public office or serve in leadership roles.

If confirmed, I would prioritize ensuring that the individuals I work with or recommend for positions meet the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and respect for others. Abuse of any kind is unacceptable, and credible accusations would warrant serious deliberation and likely disqualification, depending on the circumstances.
