Yep. But it’s been a bit of a surprise at how much Pistachio has been cuddling with him.

Our middle kitteh does exactly the same thing. Pretty mild-mannered, but more or less keeps to herself the whole day unless you sit by her spot, in which case she might come and say hi.
When anyone's sick, though, she's in their room for the duration. It's weird but kinda nice. (I just hope she's not one of those death cats.)
So sorry to hear he's under the weather. Hope his fever's down.

Cats (and all animals) tend to know when you're not feeling well..
Sweet cat.

Yep. our cats always snuggle up to my bride when she's not well. They know and are protecting her. Same with Pistachio. Hoping Fin feels better soon.

I understand a strain of Norovirus has been making its way throughout North America as of late.
Remember to wash your hands well with soap and hot water often. Probably best to refrain from fast food outlets especially buffets and food courts for a while.

@Renauda Yup. I really double down on bathroom & kitchen surfaces & doorknobs. Everyone gets their own box of Kleenex. The sick one gets their own room and bathroom.
@LuFins-Dad Im glad he’s feeling better. -

A cuddly snuggle will do wonders. Glad Fin is feeling better.

Norovirus is particularly insidious as it requires very little viral load to initiate an Infection and is resistant to alcohol based antiseptics. Frequent and thorough hand washing with soap and water is really the only preventative for a person although I would imagine a solution of water and bleach would be effective on surfaces like counter tops, bathroom fixtures etc.

Back to bed and sips of fluid. Stale room temp ginger ale might stay down. Poor fella.
Don’t envy him. I remember a dozen years ago our then little guy brought something home like what Finlay is suffering. Bouncing fever and both ends for close to 48 hours. He, of course, gave it to his mother after the first 24 hours. I looked after both and somehow avoided it. Mind you he did get me the year before with something similar if not the same.
