Analog vs digital is an interesting distinction. Digital in principle can reproduce all analogue things, since, as far as we understand classical Einsteinian mechanics, reality is digital, at a very, very fine level. When we say analog is different than digital, we mean our technology to present "analog" information to human observers, presents different levels of fidelity than our present technology for digital to present similar information.
