Gould on Beethoven.

One of the reasons I came to like classical music as a teen was watching his CBC TV presentations and lectures. He certainly opened the door to 20th century music for me. The CBC programme on which he featured Webern and Hindemith’s music were great.

Also, @horace, didn't you play the C-minor sonata?

Yep. My least successful recital performance. I didn't love the piece, didn't prepare too well, and the result was not much of musical value. I stopped playing for several years after. One of these days I'll tackle another beethoven sonata.
