Considering the overall age structure of the country, the implied overall IFR is:

1.7% (!!)

First order of business: if the numbers as given are broken down into meaningful categories, re-munge them together into this far less meaningful number that the masses like to punt back and forth among themselves as they discuss the epidemiological subtleties of COVID.
