The original recipe has been changed a bit through the years. It's now owned by PepsiCo and is not the Mountain Dew I remember as a kid. But, occasionally they make a run of Mountain Dew Throwback, which is made with cane sugar, not fructose. Throwback does have the old-timey taste.
Note: There are 54mg of caffeine in a Mountain Dew.
