How parents' income correlate to students' admission chances when the test scores are the same:
Still very good to be very rich.
Some college admission advantage for being poor/lower income (when test scores are the same).
Some college admission disadvantage for being upper-middle class or just only a little bit rich (when test scores are the same). -

I can’t read the link, but I wonder if that is directly due to the parents’ money, or if it’s just correlation with legacy admissions.
It will always be among the most jaw dropping bits of hypocrisy from progressive elite institutions, that legacy admissions are even a thing.

I think that might be second.
Biggest instance of hypocrisy is the extent to which they rolled out these affirmative action / DEI policies, ostensibly to help disadvantaged minorities, only to fill most of the slots with kids of rich Nigerians, etc.
Once on Loury’s show he and McWhorter both estimated that over half the black kids on campus were foreign born.
