Is my dog racist?

My dog is SO racist. I don’t know why because we lived between a white suburb and a predominantly white one.

He’s very well behaved in public but one time he growled at a little black girl in Petsmart and she wasn’t even coming at him and not even a minute later a small white boy walks by and my dog was all over him giving him kisses. When we go on walks, if we pass a black person, he shits himself, like you have maybe a minute before he has to go.
We go to this restaurant a lot, it’s a dog friendly restaurant, (really good food) and when we’re outside where the front door is, my dog is like the welcome wagon. He’s so excited, trying to kiss and play with the people coming/going, but if a black person comes, he comes to my side and sits.

I don’t even know how to talk to like a dog trainer without sounding racist. What’s even worse is, we moved to one of the most diverse suburbs in my state. So, it’s a problem.

The FB person's dog is white, so that explains a lot.
