The Marvel superhero series, there are like 23 or 24 movies, enough for the rest of the year.

    The Transformers series

    The XXX series

    The Terminator series

    Aeon Flux

    Ultra Violet

    The Blade trilogy

    The Underworld series

    The Great Wall (2016)

    The Ip Man series

    The Ong Bak series

    The Mission Impossible series

    Bruce Lee’s films

    Ben Hur

    Clash of the Titans

    The X-Men series

    The 300 series

    Gods of Egypt

          Oh, watch the RWBY series.
The animation style takes some getting used to, but the action design is in a league of its own.

The Jason Bourne series is OK too.

For action comedy, there is always Jackie Chan.
Stephen Chow’s “Shaolin Soccer” and “Kung Fu Hustle” are great action comedies, but you’d need some background in Chinese kungfu mythology to fully appreciate the nuance else a lot of it would just look like slapsticks.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 - Surely you have seen these before. Luke and I have bonded over watching 2-3 movies over a weekend many times. To this day, he can make me laugh my ass off by quoting "Son, maybe it's the dramatic brain trauma talking, but I submarine lightbulb."

LOL. I absolutely adored MST2000. Did y'all watch that one, or is that going back too far? Never saw 3000.

I also vote for "Second Hand Lions" and "The Fastest Indian".

There's another one that no one has mentioned, so all of you should co spider watching this great movie - "The Magic of Belle Island". Morgan Freeman stars in it. You'll be glad you watched this.

Surprised no one mentioned Ronin since we are referencing a lot of car chase movies.

For fun with car chases watch What's Up Doc (although I am concerned about the boy not liking The Holy Grail - I was 5th or 6th grade and fell in love with the movie just listening to the sound track).

Another favorite of mine was an old Clint Eastwood movie, Where Eagles Dare. Lots of cool guns and explosions.
