Wow. According to Trump, to be Senate leader you have to agree in advance to forfeit the Advise and Consent role prescribed by the Constitution.
No, he wants his people and he wants them as quickly as possible. That's why most people being vetted are asked if they will take an "acting" appointment.
Look, Trump is Trump. He can pull some boners. But he also can be taught. I think he is really honing in on his first 100 days and wants to make hay.

Mike Waltz - Florida congressman - will be National Security Advisor.
Florida should be safe enough for an election or Governor appointment.
