DETAILS: On October 27, 2024, a 70-year-old man named Lich Vu was issued a ticket by an Oklahoma City officer following a minor collision, which Vu disputed. The situation escalated when Vu allegedly tapped the officer’s chest and told him to "shut up," leading the officer to bring him to the ground. Bodycam footage released by the Oklahoma City Police Department captures the swift takedown, which left Vu unconscious and seriously injured, with a brain bleed and fractured neck. Vu's family argues the officer's actions were overly aggressive and has shared photos of his injuries online to highlight the incident. While police report Vu was uncooperative, his family disputes the necessity of such force on an elderly man. The officer has since been placed on administrative leave, and the case will be reviewed by the Oklahoma County District Attorney.
Never touch a cop. It will never end well for you.

Reminders about "defund the police" were common on the right, leading up to the election. No Democrat says that out loud anymore, but the stench remains in the minds of the electorate, of the single dumbest idea in the history of the American left.

Just a sidenote...Do y'all realize how many good cops left during the "Defund Movement"? How many cowboys and power freaks stayed? And how hard it became to recruit good job candidates?

He has said the same thing.

Glad that most cities realize how dumb it was.
Re: recruitment. Salaries for the police are actually pretty good. Not sure if it is enough to make someone want to become one. It is certainly a very tough job, and has not gotten any easier.
