Women don't get it.

Disclaimer: I've been married to the 2nd Mrs. George for more that 47 years. It's worked.
That said, remember when we talked about how some women, including the wonderful Mrs. George, don't understand thermostats? If you want the temp to be 72, turning the A/C to 65 will not make it get cool faster, right?
Anyhow...being a Bohemian/German gal from Cicero, her taste in food is...oh, what's a kind word...limited. Unadventurous? Boring?
I mean, what kind of person doesn't like meatloaf? The kind that wants steaks well-done, that kind.
But I digress.
Another food she's not interested in is Salisbury steaks. I've always had a fondness for them, but never made them in 47+ years.
I was going to cook tonight, but we passed. She asked me what I was going to make, and I said, "Hamburger steaks with a brown onion gravy. Mashed potatoes and corn on the cob."
"Sounds good!" she said.
Go figure.

She probably had some bad meatloaf way back when, smothered in onions or something horrible like that.
And the problem with Salisbury Steak is that it can be some of the worst frozen food in the world. The picture on the box looks great, but the food is awful.
She is making good choices.

Yeah, if she had a Swanson Salisbury Steak, that would turn her off the food name.

Yeah, i live with that as well. I think that part of that thinking comes from the fact that car air conditioning works differently than forced air in the home, but while that makes infinite sense and is comprehensible to the male brain, it doesn't work here either. Our house is submerged in air conditioning for 9 months a year. I pretty much wear fleeces year round - inside at the thermostat is typically set between 61 and 63.
We also have discussions of whether the pipes will freeze when the outside temperature dips to 45 degrees. This makes little sense to me - and my spouse is a molecular biologist.

Da fuq?
I just told Mrs George that I re-programmed the thermostat (via Apple Home) to let the temp drift down to 67 at night, and keep at 71 during the day.
She's good with that.
But...and you may have noticed this when you were here....we have Vornado fans, set at high, in every room of the house. It's a reasonable tradeoff IMO.

Our thing is air cleaners. Each ONE of ours is intended for a whole home. We have 8 of them in the house - set at high. Our house background noise level feels like we're in a B17 flying over France. Of course, that is in addition to the air cleaner on the furnace.
