What’s your over/under on Trump/Musk?
-
Two really strong personalities, it seems like just a matter of time until they have a falling out.
What’s your over/under on this pairing?
(We can measure in months or years, no need to convert to Scaramuccis, as tempting as that is).

My guess is somewhere between one and two years. Certainly before midterms.

My theory on Musk is that he sees Trump as a vehicle for disrupting the woke bullshit that caused the falling out with his kid. So it's possible he doesn't want to get that involved. I mean, it'd be very stupid if he were to get more entangled. I think it's possible he knows that but I don't know how likely that is, either.

One may get expedited approvals/subsidies for various spacefaring and satellite communication items.
When the fallout happens, the other will say of the former: "I have helped him make so much money, and this is how that ungrateful traitor repay me?! It is so unfair!"
-
I think Elon will run his commission, deliver his report and that's the end of his heavy partisan involvement.

Agree. Musk is smart and a very good innovator and being able to think outside the box. But like so many, he has found that he loves being famous.
It will be difficult for him to be a subordinate and that will eventually cause problems between him and President Trump.

I think we're honestly going to see SpaceX send a manned craft to Mars in 2028/2029. I'm not sure how much "Government Efficiency" will be accomplished. That will be interesting...

President Trump during a meeting with Republican congressmen
“Elon won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him. Until I don’t like him.”

Musk in Trumpworld.
"Courtier politics."
