Probably called a dozen?
She chooses her words very carefully. I suspect much of the Biden business was done in person and much of it involved the money people or their surrogates.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has slammed Joe Biden for delaying his exit from the 2024 race and denying his party an open selection process for his replacement
“Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” the veteran Democrat from California said in an interview with The New York Times. “The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary.”
and
“And as I say, Kamala may have, I think she would have done well in [a primary] and been stronger going forward. But we don’t know that. That didn’t happen. We live with what happened,” Pelosi told the outlet.
“And because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different.”

I will continue to say that Biden did that with that exact purpose. A big giant middle finger to Pelosi, Barack, and Hilary on his way out the door. Dark Brandon Out,

I can buy that. It’s just hard to think of him acting strategically or with any cleverness.

In other words, Dem leadership screwed that one up as well. Didn't have the stones to do what was needed when it was needed. By after the disastrous debate, it was far too late for a primary.

Pelosi, the Dem machine, and the media covered for Biden since the summer of 2023. Don’t blame Biden when she was on the news defending his intellect and sharpness in April…

The choice of Kamala as VP is the most disastrous diversity hire of all time, if you're the Dems. I guess that qualifies as ironic, for the party of inclusion. A meritocratic pick of VP might well have been able to win this election. Certainly they could have chosen someone capable of going on Rogan and talking like a relatable person.

Great post, Horace. That is the Democratic campaign in a nutshell.
(I will be stealing your insights as my own later at dinner tonight!

The FOX video was Lindy Li, who has been on FOX News multiple times since the election was held.
Her attitude for a Dem is refreshing. Probably too honest for many in her party.
And she agrees with LuFin about Biden's FU (her words, not mine) to the party.
