Have to wonder if this isn't a good idea:

With control of the White House, the Senate, the House, and most of the State governments,

can we finally quit changing the damn clocks twice a year?

This has always seemed wrongheaded. People complain about the act of having to change the clocks and the disruption it causes them for a day or two, and they think ‘let’s end this unwelcome disruption’.

Almost nobody engages in what it would mean the other 120ish days that the clocks don’t change.

Are you prepared to have your 7 year old waiting every morning at a bus stop in the dark for 4 months? Oh, you didn’t think about that? You just didn’t want to be inconvenienced for a day twice a year?

When you live this far north DST is wholly unnecessary anytime if the year. This time if however it’s justvplain dangerous for the reason jon posted above. No daylight until 9 am.

I can live with changing the clock twice every year.
