Voter ID stuff was a very common talking point on the right, leading up to the election. It's a useless hill for the dems to fight and die on. I don't think no-ID laws allow for substantial fraud in practice, but to tee up the fraud narrative like that is just stupid. In practice, I do suspect it's common practice to vote for friends and family who you know won't be voting, or who don't want to vote. And absolutely everybody would have to agree that such fraud would be undetectable. Safely maintaining the inevitable talking point against claims of fraud, that "evidence doesn't exist".
