Saints suffered a bit of what Pittsburgh always has. There is a talent level drop off from after the first 13 picks, and picking at 20+ is going to make it harder. All the first round Tackles and CBs are gone by that point, so you have to pivot your approach.
As much as we rave about Kevin Colbert, the Steelers had some rough drafts from 2013-2022. We had a few home runs like TJ Watt, but a lot of JaGs, too. One of the exciting things about the last 2 drafts for us is that Khan and Weidle have knocked the ball out of the park. Two of our best 2 successive drafts in history, and especially in the trenches. Zach Frazier, Mason McCormick, Fautanu… Broderick Jones is having some difficulties this year, but his upside is through the roof. Hell, even their 300lb TE blocks like a tackle but at 6’7” has a huge catch radius and can move…

@Mik said in We can draft 'em...:
Rankin and Bell are with us now and playing well.
They wanted to keep Bell, but couldn't afford him.
Rankin? Guy was a really good rookie. Had greatness written all over him...And then he tore his Achilles. He came back and played okay, but he wasn't what he was.
If not for injury...
