When did tire changing become a cornerstone of political qualification?
The same reason people try to talk up their military time, their work at McDonalds, speak with a fake accent, pretend that they really understand what the local union guy is going through, etc. LOL
"Hey, I am just an ordinary person. You can identify with me so you should vote for me!"

Regarding the first clip, Obama is smarter than to not know about the "Fine people" hoax. So, ask yourself why he's lying about it.

@George-K said in Obama perpetuates the lie:
"Jeeves, change that tire."
When's the last time Obama drove himself to any of his 4 (?) houses? Has he reached that "point where you've made enough money?"
My guess is there is a significant number of adults today that haven’t changed a tire. I haven’t since 2002 or so…

I've changed a tyre, but not a tire.

@George-K said in Obama perpetuates the lie:
What can be inferred from this, is that the Dems have calculated that the reputational cost of telling the known lie, is lower than the benefit of people believing the lie.

Correct.

Which brings me back to my point about having been conditioned to believe lying is inevitable.
