Will this election drive the last nail in the coffin...

No, but the shift is already happening.
It's just going to take a very long time. The theory of reflexivity states that things need to go past the point of ridiculousness—not reach an obvious threshold, but go past obvious, get to ridiculous, and then go past that—before they reverse themselves.
I'd say we're as a nation approaching obviousness with respect to MSM.

I've been watching some of the reporting and like Hewitt, it's okay if everything was reported accurately, but a huge portion of the reporting is turning into Harris Campaign ads.
FOX is biased, but their hard news shows not as much as NBC, CBS or ABC.
If nothing tries to report accurately, why bother watching,?

@Jolly said in Will this election drive the last nail in the coffin...:
Smart guy. I miss him.
A quote of his a few months before he died:
“This is beyond narcissism. I used to think Trump was an 11-year-old, an undeveloped schoolyard bully. I was off by about 10 years. His needs are more primitive, an infantile hunger for approval and praise, a craving that can never be satisfied. He lives in a cocoon of solipsism where the world outside himself has value — indeed exists — only insofar as it sustains and inflates him … (He) is dangerously out of the mainstream and temperamentally unfit to command the nation.”
Trump’s response:
“I get called names by a guy that can’t buy a pair of pants.”

Not surprised at all that Krauthammer views Trump in very low regard. It's a reasonable assessment of Trump.
Some might say the same of you.
I doubt any of us are universally loved by our fellow man.

You know, I do have to give the mainstream media this much credit. They did not publish the hacked Trump campaign emails. I really would have expected somebody to break, but they didn’t. It might possibly be because there was nothing really there, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt just this once.

@George-K said in Will this election drive the last nail in the coffin...:
Mrs. George gets all her news from the local channels and she watches ("Is it handsome in here, or is it just me?") David Muir for national news.
She couldn't find Megyn, Ben or anyone if her life depended on it.
We have interesting conversations.
Lot more folks like your wife than you think there are.
