A Florida woman who zipped her boyfriend in a suitcase for hours until he died found guilty of second-degree murder

A Florida woman was found guilty of second-degree murder Friday after authorities said she zipped her boyfriend up in a suitcase and left him for dead back in 2020.

Sarah Boone, now 47, told authorities her boyfriend got trapped in a suitcase and died during a game of hide-and-seek, court records show. The Florida couple had been drinking chardonnay and doing puzzles in their Winter Park apartment.

They thought “it would be funny” to hop in a suitcase as a part of the game, according to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

She is nuts. She went through 8 attorneys before the court said, "Stop. Take this guy, or you're going pro se."

I watched a good deal of this trial. They were both drunk, and they both have a history of ipv. They started playing hide and seek. He got into a 28 X 20 X 8 inch suitcase to hide from her. Small guy, 5'2" and about 104 lb.

She zipped it up and hit the suitcase with a baseball bat many times, and went to bed. She recorded his pleas to be released, and ignored them before hitting the sack.

When she awoke, he was dead after 13 hours.

She was offered a plea deal of 15 years, which she declined. Now, it's 22 to life.

She's been incarcerated for 4 years already.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

By the way, the judge in this trial was spec-fucking-tacular.

He was fair, harsh and even-handed. He knew the law and had it at his fingertips whenever someone wanted a motion.

        The man is a treasure.

I remember following this case that also involved a suitcase. It is from Chicago.
