The point is not to say that Hydro is bad, but to question Trump's motives in promoting it so much, and also note that his choice of people to listen to isn't exactly top-notch.
It is possible for people to be right for the wrong reasons.

Why has Trump promoted it?
- It may work. At least some of the time.
- It's cheap as dirt.
- Hope. When you're drowning, you don't bitch that you found a board that helps keep you afloat and not a life preserver. You're just glad you found a board.

I agree with Jon. If I know somebody who is very smart about computers and they are telling me something about computers, I will listen, even if I know that they also believe that crop circles are from aliens.
BUT, if they are smart about computers, but believe that circuit boards are actually alien brains sent to earth and implanted in machines, I would probably not have faith in what they said about computers.
Same way with a doctor. If they have goofy thoughts in the area of expert, I would question that. Not so much if they have goofy thoughts on some area that is completely unrelated.
