And so the onslaught is coming. Get ready, my friends. What is about to be unleashed on American society will be the greatest campaign ever created to get you to feel normal again. It will come from brands, it will come from government, it will even come from each other, and it will come from the left and from the right. We will do anything, spend anything, believe anything, just so we can take away how horribly uncomfortable all of this feels. And on top of that, just to turn the screw that much more, will be the only effort even greater: the all-out blitz to make you believe you never saw what you saw. The air wasn’t really cleaner; those images were fake. The hospitals weren’t really a war zone; those stories were hyperbole. The numbers were not that high; the press is lying. You didn’t see people in masks standing in the rain risking their lives to vote. Not in America.

Mark, I've already heard from Trumpists online that (1) "the government" is inflating the death count so they can, well, you know, whatever, (2) this infection is actually the common cold, and (3) the testing they're doing is actually a way to track citizens without their knowing it.
"Get ready" for what? It's already going on.

I just read the whole article and I think it is an enormous crock of shit. We have long known that our supply lines would not stand up to major disruptions like this. Its been discussed here many times how the US is three days from barbarism. You think this was bad? This was merely inconvenient. Wait until someone does an EMP attack on us. THEN you will see how fragile all this is and there won't be talk of back to normal for years or decades.

Let’s just apply we should have known criteria to just about everything that has been said and done by everyone prior to CV and would just be shocking how silly just about everyone seems. Pointing out any individual example is your best warning that an ulterior motive will follow.
