        Can tetanus or strychnine poisoning not manifest similarly?

            Opisthotonus is more pronounced in infants. Opisthotonus in the neonate may be a symptom of meningitis, tetanus, severe kernicterus, or the rare maple syrup urine disease.

            I had never heard of this until it came out on my ‘carrier report’ from 23andMe.

              I'm surprised that they let this progress to this extent.

              If this were my patients I'd paralyze them, ventilate and sedate - let the ID guys figure out how to deal with the toxins.
