School hallway windows with views into student bathrooms
-
This story concerns a middle school in Pennsylvania.
The school recently installed two "window openings that allowed people in a middle school hallway to peer into two gender-neutral-designated bathrooms."
By this time you're probably thinking "is this stupid or what." You may also be thinking "privacy lawsuit!"
- ... the two windows were installed in recent weeks following an August vote by the district’s conservative-majority school board.
This just calls out who the stupid party is.
- The board president said the move was designed to monitor and prevent misbehavior.
Double down on the "stupid" and add "asinine" too.
- Such openings weren’t installed in any of the school’s non-gender-neutral bathrooms. ...
By this time you are probably thinking "discrimination lawsuit" in addition to "privacy lawsuit.
- ... Burkhart [the superintendent] says the openings were covered by plywood on Thursday on the advice of lawyers from the Harrisburg-based Independence Law Center, a conservative legal group the board consulted before ordering the windows installed.
Recap: "is this whole thing stupid or what."

My elementary school was like this for the bathrooms. They’d cover them up for the Christmas play because they turned into change rooms for Mary, Joseph, whoever. I remember cold air return like things on the bottom of doors in one of my high schools. You could hear every flush. A deterrent for smoking definitely.
There was no privacy anywhere as I recall going to school. There were teachers who’d follow you to your car in the parking lot if they suspected you about to skip class, drugs or alcohol. Janitors were considered snitches. They knew everyone, everything.

I guess it's ok for guys to watch young girls in the bathroom, as long as those guys have established that they're mentally ill. Then they can have a front row seat. The sane ones, we can't have them peeking through windows.
