We’re having a belated birthday party for Finley and his class friends at a kids party place… Sitting around with the dads talking. Politics came up (because of the rally) and 1 of the dad’s just started saying that he was voting for Trump. 2 of the other dad’s agreed. The other 2 disagreed, but it was civil. Even in 2016, people weren’t just admitting in public that they were voting for the guy.

Vandy fans took down a goalpost, packed it out of the stadium and threw it in the Cumberland River...

Back to the initial subject, which was a good one...
I think people are tired of the bullshit. The constant stirring of the pot against anything of traditional American culture by a complicit media. The natural inclination of Americans to acknowledge that contrary political opinions will be tolerated, as long as the market of ideas is free and not forced.

Hopefully the Walz-Vance debate showed that we need not be at comp0lete loggerheads, that there's a lot of common ground we can address.

I'm a big proponent of cutting down the time Congress meets. I've advocated for creating a congressional apartment, where they can live and eat for free, as long as the rooms are assigned at random, there is only one congressional restaurant and one bar modeled after an officer's club.
Make 'em mingle and give them hard deadlines.

I could get behind that. It removes much of the expense of serving which clearly takes a lot of citizens out of the race.
