And Muslims should apologize for colonizing Spain. And the Hittites should apologize to the Canaanites and don't even get me STARTED on the Mongols....

Tilting at windmills. Just what Mexico needs.

Aztecs, Incas and Mayans were among the most bloodthirsty of peoples in the Americas.

        Yeah, Spain brought ... civilization.

Still a mixed bag in terms of benefits.

Mexico should thank Spain for ridding them of ritualized human sacrifice.

                Sort of my point above.

@LuFins-Dad Jewish. Her paternal Ashkenazi grandparents emigrated from Lithuania to Mexico City in the 1920s. Her maternal Sephardic grandparents emigrated there from Sofia, Bulgaria, in the early 1940s to escape the Holocaust.

although maybe way back there was some Aztec or Mayan ancestors who emigrated to Eastern Europe.

More likely there’s a little Sephardic Jew in her heritage, and her real issue with the Spanish was the expulsion and the inquisition

Their descendants in the form of drug cartels are still among the most bloodthirsty of peoples in the Americas.

More importantly, Texas, New Mexico, California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona should be returned to Mexico. The current inhabitants should be moved to a small strip of land adjacent to Texas where they can be housed in refugee camps. It's worked so well elsewhere, so definitely worth a try.
