I wonder if they will posthumously reinstate him?

I see no reason to do so. He put himself above the team, the fans and the city. I lived through that nonsense.

          Put him in.

Those stats were done on the field.

If we're gonna go by the quality of the man off the diamond, we're gonna lose a quarter of the HOF.

Off the diamond is not the same as while still playing ball.

Every man, woman and child baseball fan knows the rule.

And everyone of them knows it is unbreakable, no exception.

                  And it should be unbreakable.

                  He broke the unbreakable rule.

                  He knew.

Cincinnati needs to vacate those World Series wins...

If an athlete cheats, his winnings can be vacated.

To wit: I have won as many Tour de France races as Lance Armstrong.

Should cheating by a player of a team vacate the winnings of his team?

This seems like something that could be set into the rules for future controversies. Perhaps an asterisk would be appropriate.

                            Gamblers gamble.

I'm pretty sure Pete gambled much of his adult life.

There's interesting detail about Pete's career that I never knew. Not sure why they highlighted his net worth, which is unimpressive.
