        @Copper said in 13,000 murderers, 16,000 rapists:

        They should detain more.

        No, they should simply prevent them from entering.

            I would think this is a kind of a big story? 600,000 documented criminals let into the country?

            1 out of 10 "migrants" is a criminal, and the media shrugs.

            THAT should be a story as well.

              @George-K

              600,000 documented criminals let into the country?

              Is the “600,000” figure over the span of one year or “all times”?
              Were they convicted before or after entering the USA?

              If they were convicted only after they have entered the USA, then “documented criminals let into the country” is a mischaracterization because they were not yet a “criminal” when they were let in.

              1 out of 10 "migrants" is a criminal, and the media shrugs.

              Referring back to the “one year” or “all times” question above. Is it really “1 out of 10” when you compare the same time span? (As opposed to, say, dividing “all times” number of criminals by the number of immigrants let in in “one year”.)

                    I’m sure that Jocelyn Nungary would be relieved to know that the Venezuelans that raped and killed her arrived in 2022 instead of 2024.

                        @Axtremus so what time frame for letting murderers, rapists, arsonists is OK? I would think that the number of such miscreants during the Eisenhower, FDR administrations was pretty low.

                        As to when they were adjudicated, and where - does it really matter? Do you think the woman who was raped would say, "It's OK he was let in. He didn't get convicted until he was in the US."? What about the murderer? Remember "If it saves ONE LIFE!!" Yeah, that.

                          I heard it was over a 8-10 year period, from the late President Obama time through President Trump time through President BIden.
