Trump managed to get 100% agreement from economists, they all think his tariffs are a dumb idea.
Is there anything he can’t do?
(Best Harris did is get 87% of economists to agree that her policy sucks)

Trump's current China tariffs that Biden never repealed and which Harris is running against, are a carrot/stick deal where China can buy more of our stuff to lower the tariff. I expect this thing that is being framed as a 20% tariff on everything might also in practice be a carrot/stick. If it were as simple as a flat 20% on every import, then it's not surprising that economists would hate it unanimously.
