Yeah, I’ve been working on the family tree. I think he’s from the California Prentice’s descended from Archibald, son of John the Laird of Stane. My line is from David, Archibald’s younger brother. John was made a General for saving William Lockhart (One of Cromwell’s men) at the Battle of Bothwell Bridge. John was among the last to surrender to Charles II, so hard heads run in the line.
