Had friends over for an expensive wine dinner on the deck. Mushroom truffle roast beef tenderloin, asparagus and potato stacks. Fantastic chardonnays, Zinfandel and Barolo.

Barolo huh. I hope it aged more than twenty years. Otherwise it’s infantacide.

Tonight we’re having a roast chicken stuffed with a typical thanksgiving bread and chestnut stuffing. Some stuffed vine leaves on the side. Local wine. Bordeaux blend. Not barolo.

I've had some very well aged Barolos that were FANTASTIC wines. This one was Kirkland's and built for early consumption as a 2019. It was very good, tar and roses all the way.
